Is connecting my bank account safe?

To finish your account setup with Goparity, we ask you to connect your bank account to the platform so you can freely load money into and out of the platform when you want. To do so, we have partnered with the Canadian payment provider, VoPay, to ensure an efficient and secure movement of funds on the platform.

The following provides more information on the security and compliance around bank connections and data storage with our payment provider:

• Data Encryption: All sensitive data, including the account holder name and bank routing information, is encrypted both at rest and in transit. This ensures that even if unauthorized access occurs, the data remains unreadable and unusable.
• Industry Standards: Our platform adheres to industry-standard security practices and protocols. We've compliance with security certifications such as PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2), to demonstrate our commitment to data protection.
• Minimal Data Storage: Our platform only stores the minimum required data, which is the account holder name and bank routing information. No additional sensitive information, such as passwords or transaction details, is stored in our database
• Secure Infrastructure: Our platform is hosted on a secure infrastructure with robust measures in place to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Flinks' Technology: We use Flinks' technology for bank account connections. Flinks is a reputable company specializing in financial data security and compliance, and their technology is designed to securely handle bank data. Flinks is also trusted by partners such as Wealthsimple, National Bank and Equifax. 
• Consent-based Access: Our platform accesses customers' financial data only with their explicit consent. Flinks' technology uses secure authentication methods to ensure that the access is authorized by the account holder.
• Data Usage Transparency: Banking information is only used for the intended purposes, such as facilitating transactions.
• Regular Security Audits:Our platform undergoes regular security audits and assessments to identify and address any vulnerabilities proactively.
