How do you measure jobs created?

'Jobs created' is a metric that tells us the number of new hires that resulted from financing through the GoParity platform. So far, all the impact you see has come from our European platform, but we plan to greatly scale our impact through Canadian projects.

In some specific cases, this metric can contain the number of job positions maintained at the borrower organization because of the funding if they would no longer exist otherwise.

For example, from the financing Oceano Fresco Innovation projects I, II and III received, they could hire four new employees directly related to research and innovation. This number might go up to 12 new positions being opened in the course of the projects' implementation.

We pool metrics from GoParity's previous projects for 5 main impact indicator groups and display them on our 'impact page' as a key measure of success and growth.

We measure the impact of an individual investor by calculating:

total invested by the investor * total number of jobs created / total investment in the campaign

As an example, a project financed at $110,000 and creating 33 new jobs, given that an investor invested $500, the conversion would be:

500* 33 / 110,000 = 0.15 jobs created
